Settings — Subscription

Your subscription determines everything your organization can do in dAio Business: number of monitored sites, seats for your team, alert volume, AI credits, SMS and WhatsApp. It's here, under Settings > Subscription, that the organization owner chooses a plan, switches between monthly and annual billing, adjusts seats and accesses the Stripe billing portal.

Only the owner or an admin can see this section. Other members have no access to it.

Tip: start by estimating your real number of sites and users before choosing a plan. You can always scale up in one click, but starting at the right tier keeps you from hitting a quota in your very first week.

Plans and pricing

dAio Business offers three plans, from solo work to multi-site organizations with a service-level commitment.

PlanMonthly price (excl. tax)Annual price (excl. tax)For whom
Solo€49/month€470/year1 user, up to 5 sites
Team€79/month€758/yearTeam, 2 seats included, up to 50 sites

The Team plan is the most popular: it unlocks collaborative work, additional seats and significantly higher quotas.

Quotas included per plan

Each plan ships with a set of quotas that reset at every billing cycle. Here are the included volumes:

WhatsApp / month10100500

Tip: track your consumption in real time under Settings > Usage & Quotas. The bars turn orange at 80% and red at 95% — enough to anticipate an overage before it blocks a send.

Monthly or annual

A selector at the top of the section toggles price display between Monthly and Annual. The annual commitment applies a 20% discount, billed in a single payment:

  • Solo: €49/month, or €470/year (i.e. €39.17/month).
  • Team: €79/month, or €758/year (i.e. €63.17/month).

If you're already on monthly billing, a Switch to annual button lets you change and benefit from the discount immediately.

Tip: for steady year-round use, annual amounts to two free months. Reserve monthly billing for testing phases or seasonal needs.

Changing plan (upgrade / downgrade)

Each plan card shows a contextual action button:

  1. Open Settings > Subscription.
  2. Choose the period (monthly or annual) with the selector.
  3. On the target plan, click Choose this plan (upgrade) or Downgrade (move to a lower plan).
  4. You are redirected to secure Stripe payment (/api/stripe/create-checkout-session). Confirm: the change takes effect immediately upon return.

For an upgrade, you only pay the remaining prorated amount of the current cycle. The Enterprise plan cannot be subscribed online: the Contact us button opens our form to build a tailored offer.

Warning: a downgrade reduces your quotas and seats. If your usage exceeds the limits of the lower plan (too many sites, too many active seats), free up the surplus resources first — otherwise the change may be refused or disable features.

Managing seats

From the Team plan onward, the Seats section shows an active / maximum gauge along with included seats and any billed additional seats.

  • Add a seat — increases your capacity by one paid seat. The monthly unit price is shown again before confirmation.
  • Remove a seat — drops an additional seat when you no longer need it.

The full details of collaborator management and per-seat billing are documented in Seat management. Role assignment and member invitations are handled instead from the team.

Tip: a freed seat is still counted until the end of the cycle unless you explicitly remove it. Remember to adjust the gauge after someone leaves so you don't pay for an empty seat.

Stripe billing

The Manage billing button opens the Stripe customer portal (/api/stripe/create-portal-session). There you can independently:

  • change your payment method;
  • download your invoices and receipts;
  • update your billing information (legal name, VAT, address);
  • cancel the subscription.

The View plans button opens the public pricing grid, and Buy credits leads to the top-up store.

Warning: cancellation from the Stripe portal stops renewal at the end of the already-paid period. Your data stays accessible until that date, after which the organization reverts to limited access.

Buying credits

When a sending quota runs out before the end of the cycle, the Buy credits button opens the store: there you order additional bundles of SMS, WhatsApp or AI credits. Purchased credits do not expire and add to your monthly quota.

Tip: keep a small reserve of SMS credits if you operate critical sites. An important weather alert must never fail for lack of quota.

Trial period

A new organization usually starts with a trial period. The number of days remaining appears in a banner above the plans. On expiry, choose a plan to keep full access and avoid any interruption to alerts.

Best practices

  • Size it right: choose the plan whose quotas cover your real usage, with a reasonable margin, rather than the cheapest.
  • Switch to annual as soon as usage is stable: two months saved every year.
  • Watch your quotas under Usage & Quotas and top up credits before the red zone.
  • Adjust your seats as people arrive and leave so you only bill for seats actually occupied.
  • Centralize billing: entrust the Stripe portal to the owner or a single administrator to keep a clean invoice trail.
  • Anticipate peaks (season, event) by temporarily upgrading or buying credits rather than suffering a block.

Tip: once your plan is set, check that your priority sites are covered and that your critical alerts are active — that's where your subscription delivers its real value.
