Travel briefing
dAio's Travel Assistant prepares your teams' business trips in seconds. From a single destination, it generates a complete briefing — annual climate, entry requirements, safety, health, time zone and practical information — so every employee leaves informed, compliant and at the right time.
No more cross-checking ten sources: dAio consolidates leading public data into a clear sheet, translated into the user's language, ready to share before a trip.
Tip: generate the briefing as soon as you plan a mission. The "best time" section helps you set your dates within the most favorable climate window.
Access
The Travel Assistant is a plan-gated feature. Check your subscription if the tab doesn't appear, then enable the module under Settings > Features.
Once enabled, open the Travel tab and run your first search.
Search for a destination
- Enter a city, place or address in the search bar (minimum 2 characters).
- dAio queries the geocoder and offers up to five results.
- Select the exact destination: the briefing generates automatically.
Tip: specify the country to avoid ambiguity ("Valencia, Spain" rather than "Valencia") and hit the right city on the first try.
Reading the briefing
The briefing is organized into sections, from overview to practical details.
Destination overview
A header recaps the city, the country and a short encyclopedic summary of the place, to set the context immediately.
Annual climate
A grid shows, month by month, the average temperature and expected rainfall:

Time zone
dAio shows the destination's time zone, the offset from UTC and the gap with your own time — handy for scheduling meetings and calls without miscalculation.
Travel advisory
This section summarizes official recommendations:
- Safety summary for the destination.
- Entry requirements (visa, passport, required documents).
- Warnings flagged, highlighted to draw attention.
Warning: entry requirements and safety levels change fast. Always verify the information with the official source (foreign affairs ministry, embassy) just before departure.
Recommended vaccinations
When applicable, the vaccinations recommended or required for the destination are listed as tags (universal vaccines, specific ones, prophylaxis as needed).
Info: this information is provided for guidance only. Consult a healthcare professional or an international vaccination center before any trip.
Briefing language
The briefing is generated in your interface language: country names, summaries and labels are translated automatically, with no action on your part. An employee changes language, the content follows.
Plan limits
The Travel Assistant is part of dAio Business's advanced features. Its availability depends on your subscription:
- If the Travel tab is hidden, your plan doesn't include it yet.
- Upgrade to a higher plan to unlock the module, or contact your organization administrator.
Best practices
- Brief early: generate the sheet as soon as a mission is approved, not the day before departure.
- Set dates by climate: use the "best time" to limit exposure to seasonal hazards.
- Verify formalities at the source: use the briefing as a starting point, never as the sole official document.
- Share the sheet with the employee concerned so they prepare visa, vaccines and gear in time.
- Anticipate the time difference when scheduling meetings and reports.
Tip: combine the Travel Assistant with your sites. A recurring destination may deserve a dedicated site to track its weather and alerts continuously.
